The torque ratchet prevents over-compression by setting a torque limit. The torque ratchet is an easy tool to use.
It fits almost all wingnuts depending on the gasket material you can choose the specific torque in Nm. Turn until it starts clicking.
Over-compression of your tri-clamp seal is the biggest problem experienced in this industry. Most of the elastomer’s gaskets are already damaged even before they are being used.
